Dear Supporters,
I’m Chris Esponda, a proud Mayan from Chiapas, Mexico, and the owner of C.E. Computer Repair in Lynnwood, Washington. Growing up without a computer, I faced the challenges of limited access to technology, often relying on public libraries to complete my homework. Today, through my business and the nonprofit Chiapas Education Project, I donate refurbished computers to low-income children both locally and in Mexico.
This work is deeply personal to me. In the U.S., many discarded computers can be repurposed to benefit children in Chiapas, where technology access is scarce, as well as low-income BIPOC communities in the Pacific Northwest. My goal is to equip these youth with valuable tech skills, opening doors to career opportunities in Mexico and providing an alternative to the dangerous journey of migrating to the U.S. By helping even one child, we create a ripple effect that extends to families and future generations, and I’m committed to making that lasting impact.
Thank you for your support.
As a QTBIPOC-led organization, we believe that through prayer, community, and the strength we share with our LGBTQ+ relatives, we can confront the spirit of suicide that too often touches those who feel alone or misunderstood in a world that tells them they are not enough.
